On Friday, May 17, 2024, at the premises of the Distance Learning Center (CFD) located within the Professional University Institute (IUP), Afrobarometer, in collaboration with SISTA and the University of Nouakchott, launched a three-day training session for a group of student-researchers from the IUP and the Higher Institute of Statistical Professions (ISMS).
The first day of the workshop focused on raising participants’ awareness about Afrobarometer, its work across the continent, the organization’s survey methodology, and the use of the Kobo software.
On the second day, participants were guided through various data analysis methods using the SPSS software. They were then divided into groups to work on practical cases, applying the skills they had learned.
The third and final day was dedicated to synthesizing the knowledge gained over the previous two days, followed by presentations of the drafted reports and an evaluation of the workshop, gathering feedback and suggestions for future editions. At the end, certificates of completion were awarded to all participants who successfully completed the workshop.
