On June 7th, the consulting firm SISTA held the first presentation of the Afrobarometer Round 9 survey results on access to public services in the country. The event was attended by government representatives, organizations, civil society members, academics, and media professionals.

Participants raised questions and expressed concerns, with some emphasizing the importance of the workshop and the value of the technical information presented.

Abdellahi Ahmed Vall, the Director General of SISTA, addressed the questions and concerns during the presentation, announcing that further technical workshops would be organized to provide more detailed information to donors and relevant government sectors.

The workshop concluded with general summaries and key findings. Academics and professionals in the fields of statistics, education, and research actively participated in the discussions, fostering enriching exchanges and fruitful sharing of experiences.

The conclusions underscored the need to improve the quality of public services in Mauritania, taking into account the opinions and needs of the citizens. It was highlighted that further efforts must be made to ensure equitable and efficient access to security, healthcare, education, electricity, and civil registry services across all regions. Moreover, continuous statistical awareness and regular data collection on citizen satisfaction are crucial for evaluating progress and guiding public policies.
