On January 31, 2024, at the UNFPA headquarters in Nouakchott, the SISTA team had the honor of presenting the results of Afrobarometer Round 9.
The session was chaired by Dr. Nestor AZANDEGBE, UNFPA Resident Representative in Mauritania, with the presence of two UNFPA officials: Mrs. Fatma Samba, Program Officer for Population and Development, and Mr. Mamadou Ba, Program Officer.
From the SISTA side, the delegation included Mr. Abdellahi Ahmed Vall, General Director, Mrs. Nebghouha Mohamed Cheikh, Communication Officer, and Ms. Nebila Laaroussi, Economist Statistician from the office.
The results shared by SISTA provided valuable insights into the opinions and perceptions of Mauritanian citizens on gender equality in employment, land ownership, and other crucial aspects. These results highlight the importance of transparency and democracy for the sustainable development of the country.
