As part of the development of its activities, the SISTA consulting firm (Information Systems & Statistics) is issuing a notice for the recruitment of:

Communication Specialist Consultant

General Mission:
Develop, when necessary in collaboration with external service providers, communication materials for the firm’s activities, including audiovisual content, brochures, websites, press releases, and press reviews. Ensure their dissemination in print and audiovisual media, on social media, and on websites, thus contributing to increased visibility for the firm and its clients, based on a communication strategy and its action plan.

Responsibilities / Tasks:

  • Develop a communication and visibility strategy for the SISTA firm and its clients.
  • Develop an action plan to implement the above-mentioned strategy, considering the different target groups of the SISTA firm and the appropriate communication channels.
  • Participate in and contribute to the implementation of the action plan mentioned above.
  • Support the restructuring and contribute to the improvement of the firm’s website content.
  • Create content (e.g., press articles) for media, the firm’s website, clients, or social networks related to the firm’s activities.
  • Prepare, organize, and supervise communication activities (events, press conferences, webinars, etc.).
  • Participate in documenting the firm’s activities and results to communicate their successes, challenges, and impacts to partners and communities.

Required Profile and Qualifications

Degrees/Level of Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (+3) in Journalism, Communication, Social Sciences, or equivalent disciplines.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise and experience in developing communication strategies and information dissemination.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and presentation skills.
  • Experience in web design and content production.
  • Proficiency in office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and specialized software.
  • Good experience and knowledge of the media landscape in Mauritania.
  • Skills in graphic design and page layout software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Ability to use equipment such as photo and video cameras.
  • Ability to write and produce written, visual, and audiovisual content (photo stories, documentaries, success stories, etc.).
  • Strong command of French, both written and oral.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven experience (2 to 3 years) in the field of Information Technology.
  • Experience in writing and editing.
  • Good understanding of communication tool design and information dissemination issues in Mauritania.
  • Knowledge of English (advantage).
